Do all the good you can, by all the means you can,

in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can,

to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.

Teach an Elective

We are always looking for enrichment activities for our students. Enrichment electives are held in the afternoons on Monday and Fridays. Electives last between 30 minutes and an hour; they can be on campus or off-site.

Examples of enrichment activities include: drones, surfing, astronomy, nature drawing, music, yoga, history topics, skateboarding, drama/theater, sewing, robotics, and more. We can help you to craft your content for our setting.

If you live in, or are going to be in, Cabrera for at least six weeks, and you have a gift you would like to share with our school, please check out our JOIN OUR TEACHING TEAM brochure and get in touch.

Teaching, Nursing, or Staff Assistance

Our staff is all volunteer. We are primarily retired and semi-retired people who are using the extra time in our lives to serve our students and community.

We prefer to host staff who can be with us at least half a year, or who will be returning to Cabrera in multiple years. (Yes, you, snow birds!)

Depending upon what topic you teach, your teaching time will vary between 30 minutes twice a week to 1-2 hours four times a week. The rest of your time is for enjoying the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, teaching a second class, or helping out with other volunteer work in the Cabrera area. (We can help you connect with other volunteer opportunities.)

Housing in Cabrera is great; rental cars are relatively inexpensive; the local food is fresh/chemical free/organic, and the expatriate community is vibrant.

Check out our JOIN OUR TEACHING TEAM brochure and come do good works in paradise.
